The Broadway theater

The Opened in 1832 this concert and dance venue had other uses during the war but re-established itself by the 1950s as the main entertainment venue for Lewisham featuring jazz greats and later soul artists including the Four Tops and Gladys Knight. In the 1980s a studio space was developed alongside the main hall for smaller productions whilst the main stage hosted big theatre and comedy shows. Generations of Catfordians have laughed, cried, danced and fallen in love within its grade two listed walls.
